HD in Play-based Learning
Recognizing the growing importance of play in education, rehabilitation, and social services, this programme offers comprehensive training in play-based education. It prepares graduates to become a professional in leading play-based activities in diverse settings such as social services and educational settings, as well as applying design thinking in social enterprises to foster social innovation, thereby contributing to the enhancement of community well-being.
IVE Childcare, Elderly and Community Services
The Childcare, Elderly and Community Services (CECS) Discipline provides high quality professional training in childcare and special childcare education, elderly care services, social work and innovative social service models, recognised by the government and professional bodies. A range of simulated learning environments such as the Child Education Centre for Teaching and Learning (CECTL), the "We Park" outdoor free play space for young children, the Fong Yun Wah Centre for Elderly Services and the Clinical Observation Room are provided. Learning opportunities including industrial attachments, authentic project-based learning, overseas exchange programmes, workshops and volunteer services equip students with professional knowledge and skills, as well as active and positive attitudes, making them highly competitive in the job market.

HD in Child Care and Education
The programme aims to equip students with the professional knowledge, transferable skills and attitude for the future career in the field of early childhood education. Fieldwork placement opportunities are provided for the comprehensive learning of students to become professional early childhood educators.

HD in Special Child Care and Inclusive Education
With an emphasis on the integration of theory and practice, the programme aims to equip students with the professional knowledge, transferable skills and attitude for the future career in the field of special child care and inclusive education. Fieldwork placement opportunities are provided for the comprehensive learning of students to become professional special child care educators.

HD in Social Work
The programme enables students to develop an in-depth understanding of essential social work theories, local social welfare systems and related policies as well as practical competences to provide support to individuals, families and communities. From learning to fieldwork placements, such comprehensive learning aims to facilitate students to become professional, competent and accountable social workers who will be able to promote the well-being of Hong Kong citizens and the development of social welfare in Hong Kong.

HD in Health and Social Care
The programme aims to provide students with professional knowledge of community health, social services, and elderly care, enabling them to master nursing skills, rehabilitation knowledge, and the ability of programme planning for the elderly. Graduates will possess the professional competence to engage in social services, elderly care, and related industries, providing cross-disciplinary services. Additionally, the programme emphasizes the cultivation of students' professional attitudes and empathy, strengthening their confidence and leadership capabilities in pursuing careers in social services.

HD in Social Services for Silver Market
The programme aims to enable students to understand the societal needs and emerging opportunities within the silver-haired market, fostering social innovation in this sector. Students will apply design thinking to conceptualize social solutions and utilize project management and digital marketing skills to drive community initiatives. Through industry internships and programme planning, students will be trained to become community project coordinators who design and implement social innovation projects with empathy, professional competence, and creative thinking.

Diploma of Foundation Studies (Community Services)
The Programme aims to deliver a quality education, with vocational and generic elements, that will enable students to achieve both the basic skills required for developing a career in the industry, and a sound academic foundation for further studies. The Programme focuses heavily on communication, in particular English, Chinese with Putonghua and Information Technology, as these areas are particularly important in the workplace. Emphasis is also placed on the development of interpersonal skills and teamwork, and a student-centred approach.
